Panaji (Feb 22) - Five shipyard workers were injured Wednesday, two of them seriously, after workers at a defence shipyard tried to salvage the copper casing of an unexploded ordnance shell.

New Delhi (Feb 22) - An enraged India Wednesday protested Norway's move to make efforts to extend residence permits of two Indian children under foster care, despite efforts from their parents to obtain custody and Indian government intervening through diplomatic channels for their return.

Agartala (Feb 22) - Tripura's ruling Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) will organise a massive protest rally Thursday to protest the killing of two party leaders in West Bengal Wednesday, the party announced.
- Court notice over legislator's encroachment of DDA land
New Delhi (Feb 22) - The Delhi High Court Wednesday issued notice to the central government and Delhi legislator Asif Mohammad Khan on a public suit seeking removal of illegal construction on Delhi Development Authority (DDA) land by the legislator.
- Woman who duped six 'husbands' held
Jaipur (Feb 22) - A 25-year-old woman was arrested in Rajasthan for duping at least six men whom she married before disappearing with gold and other valuables, police said. Two men who helped her have also been arrested
- Two Bengal CPI-M leaders killed, Mamata terms it infighting (Second Lead)
Kolkata (Feb 22) - Two Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leaders, including a former legislator, were killed in a clash in West Bengal Wednesday which the Left Front blamed on the ruling Trinamool Congress. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee linked the deaths to infighting within the CPI-M.
- Saif Ali Khan arrested, released on bail (Fourth Lead)
Mumbai (Feb 22) - Amid high drama, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was arrested Wednesday evening with two others for assaulting an NRI businessman. All three were later released on bail after being interrogated, police said.
- India keen on long-term fertiliser supplies from Belarus
New Delhi (Feb 22) - India and Belarus Wednesday concluded two-days of foreign office consultations here, during which New Delhi conveyed its interest in a long-term arrangement for potash fertiliser supplies.
